James 3 - Taming The Tongue

I recently saw this video on friend Karla Meachem's site, Empowering Christian Women. Whew, talk about hitting you right between the eyes. I have found myself exemplifying this kind of behavior just a few more times than I want to admit.

Think about all the things it says to our children:

  • Our home life and church life don't have to match.
  • Other people outside our family are more important.
  • Our Christian walk is relative to our circumstances.
  • Hypocrisy is fine as long as you are a church-going family.
