So many people in the world suffer from poor eyesight, but don’t have the means for obtaining reading glasses.
Gather old glasses so others can see.
There are two programs which recycle old eyeglasses for distribution to those who need them but can’t otherwise afford them. One is Lion’s Club International, which sets up drop-off centers for used glasses in good condition. The other is Medical Ministries International who will distribute used eyeglasses to third world countries. Wrap them well in bubble wrap and good padding and send them to: Medical Ministries, Attn: eyeglass recycling, 12281 SW 28th, Miami, FL 33175.
